Based in Cape Town, I started BookedByKB because I saw too many talented barbers, stylists, trainers, and service providers losing clients to missed calls, no-shows, and outdated booking methods.

I don't sell hype. I set up simple, practical systems — booking pages, reminders, deposits, branding — that make your business look premium and keep your calendar full. If it doesn't help you get more clients or look more professional, I don't offer it.

The honest answers to what people usually ask before working with me.

Is this actually worth it for a business my size?

If you're still taking every booking manually through WhatsApp or phone calls, don't have a proper website, aren't showing up on Google Maps, or keep hearing "I couldn't book you outside your hours" - this closes that gap. Even one or two extra bookings a week from people who would've otherwise given up and gone elsewhere usually covers the setup cost many times over.

What booking software do you use - is it custom-built?

It depends on the package and what suits your business. Some builds run on WhatsApp-based booking, some use a fully custom live booking system I build for you, and some take deposits through the payment gateway that suits you (Paystack, Payfast, PayPal, iKhokha or similar). I'll always tell you exactly what's powering your site before you commit to anything.

Who owns the website once it's built?

You do, outright, once the build is paid in full. On the Own It Plan, that's after your 12th payment, or sooner if you settle early. It's your domain, your site, your content. I keep the right to show finished work in my own portfolio unless you'd rather I didn't - just say so.

Are there any other subscription fees on top of your price?

No hidden platform fees from me. You pay for the build once, or spread it over 12 months with the Own It Plan. If your site needs a specific paid tool (for example, a payment processor's own transaction fees), I'll tell you upfront - never a surprise after the fact.

What happens if I miss an Own It Plan payment?

I'll remind you on WhatsApp first and Payfast will retry the payment. If it's still unpaid after 7 days, your site switches to a simple holding page with your business name and number, and it's back the same day you pay. If it's still unpaid after 30 days, the plan is cancelled and the site and domain come back to BookedByKB. Payments already made aren't refunded, because they cover the build and hosting you've already had.

What happens if I cancel monthly support?

Your website and booking system stay exactly as they are - live, working, and fully yours. Cancelling support just means you stop getting ongoing updates, check-ins, and maintenance from me going forward.

What SEO work is actually included?

Every package includes SEO. Starter gets the essentials: page titles, keywords and mobile optimization. Growth adds technical SEO (a sitemap, Google Search Console, business details Google can read, and proper link previews when your site is shared) plus a Google Business Profile setup, so people searching nearby can find you. Premium adds separate pages for your main services, so you can show up for more searches in your area. This isn't ongoing content marketing or paid ads - if your business needs that kind of broader marketing push, I'll say so honestly rather than oversell what I do.

BookedByKB ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our clients and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information.

Information We Collect
When you use our services, book a consultation, or contact us, we may collect: your name, email address, phone number, business name, and any other information you voluntarily provide through forms, email, or WhatsApp communication.

How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and deliver our services, communicate with you about your project, send booking confirmations and reminders, process payments through our payment provider (Payfast), and improve our website and services.

Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through Payfast. We do not store your credit card or bank details on our servers. Payfast's privacy policy governs the handling of your payment information.

Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only with service providers necessary to deliver our services (e.g. payment processors, hosting providers).

Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Your Rights
In accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to: access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@bookedbykb.co.za.

Terms of Service

Effective Date: 29 September 2026

By using the BookedByKB website or purchasing our services, you agree to the following terms.

Services Offered
BookedByKB provides digital booking systems, website design, Google Business Profile setup, WhatsApp Business setup, social media bio optimization, and ongoing monthly support for local service-based businesses. Specific deliverables are outlined in each service package on our pricing page.

Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of all applicable fees unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely via Payfast. Once-off packages are paid in full upfront before work begins. Monthly support is billed monthly.

Own It Plan
The Starter, Growth and Premium packages can be paid over 12 monthly payments (R179, R299 and R479 per month respectively) instead of once-off. A once-off R160 setup fee is paid with the first monthly payment and covers domain registration for the first year. BookedByKB owns and hosts the website on the client's behalf until all 12 payments are received, after which ownership transfers to the client. From month 13, domain renewal is the client's responsibility. The client may settle the remaining balance at any time to take ownership immediately. If a payment is missed, BookedByKB will send a reminder and Payfast will retry the payment. If a payment remains unpaid 7 days after its due date, the website is replaced with a holding page showing the business name and contact number, and is restored on the day payment is received. If a payment remains unpaid 30 days after its due date, the plan is cancelled, the website and domain are reclaimed by BookedByKB, and amounts already paid are not refunded, as they cover the build and service already delivered.

Platinum Split Payment
The Platinum package may be paid in two equal payments of R3,750: the first on confirmation after the live demonstration, and the second within 30 days. Ownership transfers once both payments are received. If the second payment is missed, the same 7-day holding page and 30-day reclaim terms as the Own It Plan apply.

Delivery
We aim to deliver once-off setup packages within 48 hours of receiving all required information from the client. Delivery timelines may vary depending on the complexity of the project and the responsiveness of the client.

Refund Policy
Due to the nature of digital services, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. If we have not yet begun work on your project, you may request a full refund within 24 hours of payment. Once work has commenced, refunds are not guaranteed but we will work to resolve any concerns. If we fail to deliver the agreed-upon services, you are entitled to a full refund. Missed payments on the Own It Plan or Platinum Split Payment are handled under those terms above.

Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate information, timely feedback, and access to any accounts or platforms required to complete the work (e.g. Google account, social media logins). Delays caused by the client do not extend refund eligibility.

Intellectual Property
Upon full payment (including the final payment on the Own It Plan or Platinum Split Payment), the client owns the website and digital assets created for them. BookedByKB retains the right to display completed work in our portfolio unless the client requests otherwise.

Limitation of Liability
BookedByKB is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific service in question.

Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
